    Experiencing a hurricane and losing my cottage and vacation rental business all on the same day taught me a lot about what is important.  I was left with little to nothing--and had to believe that my self worth existed far beyond any of it.

    I was also put to another test--my belief about what makes a house, or space...into a "home".

    I found myself having to rent an apartment for my dog and I. It looked like the very same beige walls and carpeting I had in my first apartment at 21. But, after some nurturing and decorating, it ended up being my safe place. It allowed me to restore during a huge loss and transition. 

    I am a firm believer that what we give energy to thrives. That truly is what you feel in a space called "home". We need that feeling as an invitation to ground and relax before we have to go back out into the world.

    Our culture suggests that constant movement and busy-ness means we are living a full life. But over time, that lifestyle can create a sense of fight-or-flight in our nervous system, and it seeks a place to rest.  

    Even short term assistance to reset a home, provides light at the end of a tunnel. 

    I can't change the world, but I am available to support and lend a hand to anyone who feels the weight of it all, and does not have the time or energy to divide themselves one more time.
